Primarily grown for its spectacular foliage, Colocasia esculenta 'Mojito' (Taro) is a tuberous, frost-tender perennial with large, heart-shaped, chartreuse green leaves flecked with deep purple to black. Elephant Ears love water and nutrients. They require regular watering, particularly during dry summer periods.
A sibling of the beloved Crème de Cassis Dahlia, this variety's flowers are distinctively unique. Each fully double, 4" bloom is hued peach-pink to salmon on top and purplish red underneath and in the center, giving it a striking multicolour look.
Elephant ears like to live in fertile soils with plenty of sun, water, and fertilizer. Elephant ear bulbs are heavy feeders, so if your plant isn't growing enough, you either need more heat or more nutrition.
